Not working heat I got that thing so red hot it was cooking the wd40. I called my buddy up he said to drill a hole on the backside and use a punch and hammer it out. Guess what that didn't work. I am not worry about the bracket new one at murrays autoparts is 15 bucks. But I need my truck tomorrow.

Thanks guys, lucky for me I have friends that have tools I don't have yet and they let me use them. I called my buddy last night took the bracket to his house and we drilled out he slide pin completely. Checked the hole with a new slide pin and seemed safe to use. Needless to say I brought it home and installed it on the truck. The only difference between before and after all this is now the brakcet has a hole all the way through it but the slide pin only goes as far in as it needs too. So I am gonna drive it like this for awhile till I get the new bracket. This is the second time this has happened to me.
