interior lights and door ajar

Ok so i am having a wacky issue with my truck and the interior lights and door ajar sensor. I am suppossed to be going to san diego with the girl tomorrow but this is going to kill my battery if i dont get it figured out. I have narrowed it down the door that is giving me the problems. It is the rear pass side door.

What it is doing is:

I can turn the truck off and when i go to lock it all of the doors lock but it honks twice telling me that a door is open and all my interior lights stay on.(I have owned the truck for a while now i know that its 1 honk all doors locked and 2 means something is left open). The weird part is I can open the passenger door and hit the lock, it locks all the doors and it honks once telling me the doors are all locked and the interior lights all turn off.

I had the normal symptoms of the crappy door sensors where I will be driving and all of the sudden my door ajar light will come on. This will then turn on all my interior lights and rear bed light. I have gotten out multiple times and checked THE DOOR IS CLOSED. so i got home and wante dto try and figure out what is wrong. I searched online about spraying wd-40 in there. i tried that. I am out of ideas. Anyone got any help? I pulled the door panel to see if anything got disconnected in there but i have no idea where the sensor is. ANY HELP GUYS? thanks alot

When I sprayed mine with WD-40 it did not help. I had to use some kind of electrical contact spray or something, I can't remember the name of it.

If you cleaned the sensor on the drivers side and it didn't work I wonder if it could actually be going bad?

If you get a chance and could find out whelat it was called thtd be great. Was your doing the same? I just don't understand why it's saying the door is shut and locked when it's wide open and when it's cooed that it open.

And the place that I am spraying it is on the rod the slides inside the door as you close it correct. Where is the sensor? Is that what I am suppossed to spray?

Switch/sensor is probably bad. The sensor is in the lower portion of the latch located in the door.

Remove the inner door panel, make sure the window is in the up position.

You will see the wires going into the switch.
Unhook the wire connector, with a pair of pliers twist the old switch out. Install new one by inserting it in the hole the old one came out of, twist it a 1/4 turn and it snaps into place, reattach the wire connector, reinstall the inner panel.

DO NOT USE WD40!

This adds oil. Dirt will stick to it. Causing the problem again or making it worse. Go to Radio Shack and get some contact cleaner!

How much do the switches cost and is this something ford will have in stock for me to get today? Is it the piece on the end of the rod on the lower potion side closest to the door hinges the looks like a slit with a half moon piece of metal coming out of it. I just twist that so it's lined up with the slit and the sensor will pull out. Thanks alot guys.

And next question can I use contact cleaner on it to remove the wd-40?

Contact cleaner will clean it nicely.

As far as cost or dealer supply, I have no idea.
