Help With Turbo: Powermax or OEM

Hello eveyone,

First time poster here and I have a question for you guys. I have a 2005 F350 6.0 and my check engine light came on (put out the code P0299). I took my truck to the dealer and my turbo ended up being shot.

I want to replace my turbo with a powermax; however, my truck is completely stock (except for bulletproof oil cooler, EGR cooler, & blue spring upgrade). I have been doing some research and found that with the powermax you need to do a tune. I live in Califonia so I do not really want to have to tune.

Do you guys recommend I go with the powermax or get my current OEM turbo charger rebuilt?

My truck is currently at the dealer now (that is why this is an urgent matter).

Thanks for any help and I'm happy to be here.
