I don't have a boost gage. When I put it on a computer pulling my trailer up a grade with programmer on stage 2 it showed 19psi. I'm not real savy with the tech terms "up-pipes". is that the pipes and hose before the turbo? If so, I will check for leaks. Will I hear it?

The up pipes are just that. They are the 2 pipes going from the manifolds up to the y-pipe pedestal that the turbine on the turbo mounts to.

You really need to get a boost gauge. You also need to double check all clamps on the boost tubes from the turbo to the intercooler and back to the spider.

I don't have a boost gage. However the last time I had a computer on it towing my trailer up a grade it showed 19psi. I not real familar with tech terms "up pipe". I assume you are speaking of the pipes and hoses before the turbo. If that is the case I will check it for leaks. Will I hear the leaks? Thanks

Sorry about the double reply. I do have a tranny gage and it is running about 170 degrees. Even pulling the grade it only got up to 185. Thanks I will check the pipes.

O.k. I checked all of the up pipes and they were not tight. The pipe with the rubber boot coming into the turbo from the intercooler had fresh oil on the bottom of it and it was loose. The rubber boot at the intercooler was loose and had dirty oil around it. I tightened up everything and I dropped 100 degrees in temp. So going up a 6% grade pulling nothing I hit 950 degrees at 65 set on cruise control. Anything else I should check? Thanks

To go much further, I'd want to see what an actual boost gauge says.

Also, check the filtering specs for K&N filter on their web page. 96% filtration
rate isnt that good. You would be better with a big paper filter at 99% and great
flow. Also the AIS is very good.
