Most likely a fuse. I once brought my truck to ford for a new alternator, and when I got it back the dash didnt work. I asked them WTF it was working fine before.....They told me it wasnt working when they got it, but they could run a test to see what it was but it would cost a hundred bucks...I checked myself, and someone had removed the fuse all together.

One of my buddies had the same problem, He was just driving down the interstate and all of his gauges quit working.

It ended up being a loose wire underneath the windshield

He had an 04

Could be the dash ground wire, or could be the plugs working loose on back of dash. If you have checked the fuse and it is good check the connectors on the dash.
