My truck is not operational right now and I'm on the road. I was driving down the interstate going 75 mph with no problems. Got off at an exit, and when I pushed down on the gas it felt like I had no power. Engine running fine, just felt like the transmission wouldn't engage. I ran some codes and got P0720-Output Speed Sensor and P1690 Wastegate Solenoid circuit. There was a mechanic at a shop who didn't have time to look at it, but told me to swap my OSS Sensor with his. No go. There was also a rag that was spun around the front passenger wheel well and unplugged the vaccum line for the hubs and pulled some of the other wires off of the frame. No clue if thats related. I'm stuck 3 hours from home and my truck is now at a Ford dealer. Just trying to figure out what could be going on.
Ford dealer just called and they think its the transmission. Quoted me $4500 for a new one. Second opinion?
