Ford Security System 2003 F-250

Anyone know anything about these? I have a 2003 F-250 CC and I needed a new Key Fob. Old one was eating batteries every 4 days. I ordered a new FOB and went through the process in the owners manual to have the alarm learn the new transmitter getting the proper response from the alarm but the new transmitter is unresponsive. It won't unlock the doors, remote start Etc...

If I put a new battery in the old transmitter the alarm works perfectly. So the alarm appears to be functioning properly.

Any help is appreciated.
