04 6.0 Power surge/Shuddering VIDEO

Bone Stock
120k mi
non smoker
starts great
idles great
can hear turbo spinning freely
throttle is resonsive as usual

I can hear surge with almost no load cruising on hwy. I afraid something bad is going to break. Shudder is worst shifting into 6th on hwy. so ive been in tow/haul to keep that minimized.

I had a similar situation with a wrx that had a boost leak and couldnt smoothly compensate... but doesnt explain the shudder

or EGR or torque converter or ficm?

I dont know last time the tranny was flushed but i think it was 30k mi ago

Ive towed for maybe 2k mil of the 30 since I bought it from the dealer.

Im asking for yalls help cause i dont have the extra cash to fix things that arent broken right now.

going to do a 12v/allison swap in with xmas bonus, just need to make it to then.

I pulled the muffler so you guys can hear this nightmare with me. It feels like it is about to hit full power then cycles off...

Gets worse at more throttle but this is just cruising on the highway:

Something just clicked with me.
I am not hearing the wastegate flap when.I get into boost and let off.

Are they prone to malfunction?

these trucks are non gated, and boost is controlled via VGT only. could be a VGT solenoid issue, or a unison ring issue. i cant hear the audio in the vid while at work, so i'll have to listen later.
