4R100 JW valve body and shifting.
Truck is a 2002 F350 7.3 Auto with 101k miles. Installed a DP F5 tuner and a John wood valve body last night. Got everything running. Topped off the trans and took the truck out for a test drive. As I'm leaving my neighborhood I notice it's not shifting from 1-2. I figure maybe it just has to relearn shifts. Leave the street and get up to about 25 and 3k RPM and still not shifting.
This point I'm worried already so I pull over. I put the trans manually into first and shift to second nice and firm like I remember my old 7.3 with a DP Tuner and JW valve body. A little relief. So I place my tuner in stock setting. No difference. So this morning I completely removed the chip. Still no difference in shifting. There is no shift flare or anything like its slipping. Just never shifts.
Do I have a bad VB? What to do now?
