water pump bad?

I have been having problems with my 2003 f250 not having any heat I have replaced the thermostat as well as checked all the usual issues I think the water pump may be bad or possibly the heater core. I let the truck get up to temp and felt the heater core lines both are cold the inline heater valve is working normal. However the metal line coming out of the front of the block is hot. I pinched the line to the heater core with the engine running and could not feel any coolant moving. The truck is not overheating. I wanted some folks opinions on this before I go tearing the front end of this thing apart. Thanks
