Key stuck in ignition, cannot remove or start truck

I just got home from work, and the key in my ignition will not remove. I cannot rotate the ignition back enough to unlock it, it feels jammed. The key rotates fully forward, but the starter turn, nothing happens. WTF?

Really would appreciate any help

Did you say the engine will start when you cycle the ignition, but you just can't rotate it back far enough to remove the key. Could be key tumbler getting worn out, or maybe the linkage that runs through the steering column to the ignition switch is hooped.
