oil filter return tube just broke

Changed my oil tonite and when tightening the cap I heard a crack. It was only about halfway tightened. I took it off and the whole top of the return tube was broken in pieces. The inside of the cap has a crack too. All thats left of the return tube is the round cylinder part, or the main tube with the groves in it.

My question is, if i get all the plastic pieces out of the housing can iIput the filter in and drive the truck a short distance? I have no other transportation tommorow and I'm hoping to find a local dealer who has the part in stock. Thanks for any help.

This just happen to me about 10 mins ago. Mine hit the floor. Do you happen to have the part number for the Return Tube at all?
