electrical help needed badly on 88 f25 deisel with turbo

This will be long. Recently we installed new clutch on 250 deisel. Now we are runing into electrical issues. Batteries go dead overnight, sometimes even when driving it. I just took charger off battereis and now we get no starter activity. I did find tho that i am getting mild electrical shock when i touch frame. Solenoid seems fine with test light, starter worked yesterday but not today, we tried jumping starter at solenoid and got a smoking solenoid on starter motor. thing that confuses me the worst is the way i get a shock when i touch the leaf springs. seems like we have a ground problem or a hot wire that is grounding to body somewhere. it prolly has been issue ever since the clutch change but i noticed today because it is raining and i was on wet ground checking starter wires to be sure we got them tight. Starting to think a lady and two teenage girls may have missed something when putting clutch back in truck.... any ideas guys?:
