Exclamation HELP! I made it mad...

Hi! I have had my 04 F250 Lariat Power Stroke for less than two weeks and tonight I think did the unforgivable - made the security system hate me. I have only one key (the spare, not the programmed key or security fob, I dont' have the fob for the command start that it has either) and we started to truck to move the wheels to access the wheel wells. When I turned it off everything was fine but when I went to turn it back on the steering wheel and the ignition were locked up tight - when the key is in the ignition the 'door open' dinger will ding but the key won't move. Have I locked myself out by not using a programmed key? How can I get it to unlock so I can get it fixed...my light for the security system has not come on since I bought the truck. Any help would be appreciated...

Could it be a fuse?
how do I find what make the command start is?
Can the system be restarted to accept that key and let me get to the dealership for a programmed key (if that's what I need for this truck)?

Thanks! thanks! thanks!

pull the steering wheel one direction and tuning the key @ the same time if that dont work try the other direction or even giving the steering wheel a little jerk from side to side.

The steering lock is what causes that problem, every vehicle can and will do it when the tires are turned the full direction one way or another. Next time your in your truck, start it up and turn the wheel 2 complete turns, stop and then let go of the wheel, you will see that the wheel will turn back about 1/8 of a turn by itself. When you shut the truck off all the way,the wheel will hit the spot where it locks and it'll still have tension on it from where it still wants to turn back even futher. That tension on the ing. is what makes it so you cant turn the key on. Hope this might explain it to ya.

04 250 doesn't have factory anti theft, just an FYI. (Bad idea on ford's part, the 08 now has it, as does the 03 up 250 and 350 Harley ed.)
