Fan clutch testing on a 6.0

This really isn't urgent but I've tried posting this in 6.0 section with no replies.
I recently purchased a Edge Insight and after installing it I read my trouble codes. Every time I did this I kept getting a code P0528 (Fan Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal) after do a little searching I came to the conclusion I needed to replace my fan clutch. Now for the funny part. I done the recent update on my Insight and now I'm not getting a code but I had already bought a new fan clutch. So what can I do to see if the fan clutch is working properly.

FIND SOMEONE WHO HAS A IDS AND BRING UP ALL FAN PIDS IN DATA MONITOR AND RAMP FAN SPEED UP BY INCREMENTS AND WATCH SIGNAL RETURN DATA TO SEE IF IT MATCHES!

Sounds good but what is an IDS and where might I find one.
