Exclamation In desperate need

My. Trucck. Is having some major electrical issues and now won't hold steady at 2k rpms.I'm stranded in alexandria with limited funds (all I have. Left is my government travel card.) Is there anyone in the area that can help me out? Either haul me to florida or let me park my truck at your house so I can drive a rental home? Ill pay you I just need help! Please!

Yes but who knows how long. It hasnt done the RPM thing before and didnt do it before i lost radio and gauges on the interstate. I don't want to risk getting back on the road and having to have it towed again.

i hear ya. when my hpop went out, i had a hard time stayin above 40mph on them rollin hills in AL past birmingham. and some parts of the road was single lanes from the construction at the time.

but thats weird the engine limits ya on speed.

Just put a new alternator in it at Oriellys and it doesn't hesitate anymore at 2krpm. However...now I have a solid battery light on. Rev the truck up, and the light goes off. Rev it up again, the light comes back on. So we disconnected one battery while it was running...no light, truck ran normal. Did the same thing on the other side...same result. So now i'm back at the hotel...not sure where to go from here. Gonna start lookin at wiring diagrams I guess...
