Im dumping fuel(a lot of it) on to the top of the motor when i flip the fuel/water separator, where or what could cause this?

I think there is a hose that is connected to the bottom of the valve. Is it connected?

I havent made it that far yet geten ready to check that stuff now but would that make it run rough? Also it smoothed out when i acclearated!?

No , it's just a drain hose . Water and or air in the line will make it run rough though and accelerating could smooth that out .
