Crank OK, but doesn't even hint at starting

09/03 build 6.0, 50,000 miles: running great but next morning it would only crank. Checked relays (pulled & tested electrically), fuel filter clean & pumping OK. Disconnected batteries & reconnected. Started and ran fine for two days. Same no-start again, no codes. Checking wire harnesses related to late '03 recalls. Help!

Thanks Brian; I've learned more about the 6.0 from this site than I learned in the 3+ years I've had the truck! The link to Diesel Mechanics Society is invaluable and our local library has the full set of shop manuals. Most everything on top of the engine is now on the floor as I dug down to the wiring harnesses. Just started spliting them open looking for shorts or broken wires. It appears the harnesses slipped thru the recalls. If they are OK, that leaves the crank & cam sensors.
