Please Help

I noticed this a day or two ago but i have a coolant leak from the front of my engine right behind the crankshaft pulley it seems. It started out very slow on a hot day and i thought nothing of it at the time but today i parked my truck and i have fluid pouring out of it like a sieve. It looks to be coming out right behind the lowest pulley (crankshaft?) and i have no idea what it is at the moment and i can't get the truck to a shop until monday. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It slows down to a drip after a while but after running the truck it comes puring out pretty bad.

Check the weep hole on the bottom of the water pump. Mine did the same thing and i had to replace it ( the water pump not the weep hole in on the bottom )

I'm hoping it's just the pump. Right behind the crankshaft pulley is where it is coming out like between the pan and the crankshaft. Where the separation in the front is.

It is most likely the water pump going bad. You notice where it is leaking because it is leaking down thanks to our friend gravity.

Thanks a lot guys for all the help. I pm'd scruffy (diesel tech) and he said the same thing about it being the water pump. It's going to the shop on tuesday. Again thanks for all the help. She's up to 145,000 miles with only a new CPS and tranny rebuild after many years of towing farm animals and such. I'm very very happy with her.

Thank You.

I aggree as well. DIY the water pump. Pretty simple job, the worst thing about doing it is getting to the pump. If you have questions about the job ask us. But if you decide to do it yourself then while your getting the parts and gallons of coolant at the part store pick up a chiltons or a haynes repair manual. Just follow the steps in the repair manual and in about 3 hours you should be done.

By the way you will need the fan clutch wrench in order to get the fan off the water pump prior to removal.
