I have a 2001 Ford F250 7.3 Power Stroke with the Banks Power Pack and also the Six Gun Tuner. I got a new 5th wheel Toyhauler 16000 #s empty weight. The air cleaner is clean, new fuel filter, etc. When I pull the trailer up the Cajon Pass (the steepest part) at Six Gun Level 3 the engine or something in the engine compartment area makes a surging noise. RRRRRRRR...RRRRRR...RRRRRRRR. Sounds kind of like a fan but could be anything. Don't really know if it loses power as I back off. The truck never did anything like that with the old trailer. Of course, it was smaller. Otherwise it doesn't have any trouble with the new trailer. Have talked to Banks and they are not much help. Told us to try it on level 1 but the trailer is at the dealer. What could this be? Is it normal or is something going to let go? Anybody have a similar experience? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Into it...
When I am into it. Then I let off because I don't like the sound of it. When I let off the surging noise goes away. :beer2: |
