Truck wont accelerate!

Hey Guys/Gals, I just recently replaced my EGR Cooler, and noticed since that my truck has not been running up to par!.. The truck will not accelerate fast like it used too.. actually it took about 3 minutres to hit 50 mph.. if i floor the truck the engine just revs, and wont get out of its own way.. now if i let it slowly climb up, then punch it at 50 mph.. i can watch the rpms go up and the speed decrease.. now somebody said when i replaced the egr cooler, that i need to reset my computer to reset the injectors... BUT however, after driving the truck a while, it starts to get faster.. im puzzled about this.. anyone have this or know anyone who had this problem?

Is there any boost showing on the cluster gauge? sound like you might have forgot to plug the map sensor hose to the intake, ive seen ppl forget and the truck runs but with no boost... if the hose is connected make sure there are no rips or tares in the hose, its always good to clear codes after any repair, dont know how clearing codes would effect injector performance tho.. good luck

Is the check engine light coming on? The pedal position sensor is good with setting codes, try and read the codes see what you have, you sure this isn't a trans problem?

pretty sure its not a trans prob, the truck shifts great, i dont have a check engine light on though, but i was told that when you mess with the egr valve, and anytime you touch the injectors that the system needs to be reset or something of that sort. is that correct?

your engine doesn't have a wastegate to be letting off air...checked for boost leaks. loose clamps/hoses.
