Need Help

So we're going to the lake tomorrow night....ISSUE is that while driving my truck today we smelled the stench of diesel fuel very strongly, shortly after, the truck started to run very skittish and with less power. pulled over and didn't see any leaks or any other issues. pulled my fuel filter off and the filter isn't too bad but my fuel is teal colored. normal?

Okay so i found an extra 4.5" O-ring (probably from some one elses poor worksmanship) in the fuel bowl...does the thing at the bottom of the fuel bowl circulate?

Not really circulate as in spin. A left over o-ring is common. Just take it out. Are you where you can put a new fuel filter in? I would if I were you just to take it out of the equation.

The earliest I can do that will be on Thursday. I cleaned out the fuel bowl and the current filter and everything seems to be okay. I hope that I don't have any issues driving back. thanks again guys.
