But im having a hard time figuring out if it is the transmission or the torque onverter. Because the shifts are long in every gear when you reset the codes
and it feels like the t/c is slipping
so ill take it to some other people and get more opinions

Hey bigcountry Im having some similar issues with my trans.. and sounds like u know what ur talking about. Except when my trans starts acting up it does two things:
1. when going up hill loaded or empty it starts kind of rattling towards the top of normal size hill in the city.
2. while city driving after a good 15min it will start shifting waaaay too soon, to where i be in 3rd gear in a parking lot. once in a while it will shutdown and check eng. light come on ... sometimes engine speed will drop to an idle and stay there, i can floor it and engine will not respond until a few seconds have passed . no codes for tranny .
Ive gotten a few hints from some members and just wondering if u have any ideas ...or if these symptons sound familiar.... Thnx

Freedomisntfree I think yours is shifting like that becuase of you TS chip. Mine shifted. WHen you say you floor it and it wont do nothing is it smoking like crazy or anything?

You need to go to good shop ,have them to go though that pinpoint test for P1728! You dont never know where its goint ot take you unless you do that ! You might be suprized what you find!
