well the original purpose of tall tires was to give you a taller sidewall to protect your rim and to flex and grip better and give you better axle clearance. The original purpose of the lift was so that you could fit taller tires. Bigger rim's original function was to fit over larger brakes. 24's on a truck (like he said) make it about as functional as an H2.....i saw there are lift kits for cars now...just to fit bigger rims. The purpose? Use up more recycled pepsi cans? I dont know. Im still searching for the answer. Its just a less functional way to add unsprung weight. go rubber bands!
