First,
I have an 06 F250 and the first thing I'd recommend as would most of the members on here would be a set of analog gauges: boost, egt, and trans temp which actually mount OVER your handle pod. Check out autometer or talk to Raul with Stealth automotive, he'll hook you up with some. Then get yourself a custom tuned SCT X3 tuner, I think you can get it through him too.

You could get yourself a livewire, although I dont have one so I don't know much about that, but its digital gauges as well as capable of holding custom tunes. In any case, get yourself some custom tunes with Eric at innovative diesel. At least I know they are legit.
As for the stock boost gauge, mine syncs nicely with my pod gauge. I still like having one on my pod, bigger, easier to read and close to my EGT gauge.
My uncle has a 06 dodge 2500 with an intake, exhaust, superchips and his truck really isn't quicker than mine after I got my SCT. He also runs stock tires and I have 37".:burnout
Also, I haven't heard about too many fuel pressure problems in the 06' and later powerstrokes. I'm sure it's possible, but it isn't my main concern. If you want to really put an end the main 6.0L issues, get headstuds and egr delete, then you'll be golden.
