if you were to use a cleanable fuel or oil filter, first it would give ford every excuse in the world to start voiding warranty claims, and secondly you would risk injector failures, motor failures, and a host of other problems. they may be expensive, but when low fuel pressure can eat injectors, and oil flow is used for lubrication and fuel injection.....stick with baldwin, wix, motocraft, or napa or carquests top of the line oil filter........they all test well.....fram, k&n, stp, etc all test very poorly.......Marc
