Fuel Problem??????
New member. Please help guys. '03 F-250 w/6.0L. A week ago, truck started lugging like fuel filter was stopping up.I thought. well I'll change them this weekend . Next day, while driving, truck lugged down and died. Change filters beside road. Like to have never got refired and truck still luggs. Only runs about 40 to 50MPH and struggles to do that.
Talked to an International dealer and he said I had air in fuel system and should let it idle for a while and should be OK. Let idle for 3 hours and still have problem. Pulled top of secondary filter and turned key on. Getting fuel to there. Took inlet line off primary filter and blew back thru it and still have problem. Wondering if the fuel pump is not pumping enough pressure or the fuel pressure regulator is not holding pressure up right.Truck has 69K miles and I/ve changed fuel filters at every 15k
Also, before it died on me, a few days earlier, I noticed it was becoming a little harder to start. Need Some Advice Thanks.
