Welcome bud! You got to think of the mass of the truck you are moving and sometimes if the engine is cold the truck can be a little sluggish.....even Dodge and Chevy guys will admit that the Ford is the better truck to do any serious work, such as towing with. What gears did it have in the rear end? 410? Also ask about the bearings, they usually want to stop playing around 150k.
