A very sad kill

When you saw very sad kill I bet you were thinking something humerous but this is not humerous. My Dad let someone borrow our 450 SD because it has a 10 foot dump bed and he needed to tear off his roof. Empty the truck weigh about 11,000. RIght now I would say its damn close between 18,000-20,000 because its full to the TOP!

So me and him went to go get it back. I drove it, he drove my 250. I live in a pretty good part of town but there is a bad part where the ricers and thugs live with there old crappy cars on 20" rims. Well we turn down the side road that takes you to my road. I got up to speed at about 30 mph and out from behind a van parked on the left side of the street a car full of kids blew through a stop sign in reverse. Idk why but he was going backwards. All I saw were eyes light up in my headlights before I hit them. Never had time to hit the brakes. It was a old caprise with a new paint job and brand new rims. No one had their seat belts on and the driver got hurt really bad. Two girls in the car and one other kid, no one over 18. The driver got rushed to the hospital and everyone else was okay. The top got cut off because the driver's side was smashed so bad.

Let this be a lesson learned. Always wear your seatbelt and stop at every stop sign no matter how late at night. Someone could always be there just at the wrong time. This kid made a stupid mistake that could have killed him and his friends. The EMT said 5 or 10 more mph would have killed the driver instantly. Winter is coming you guys and stopping power of our trucks is going to be greatly reduced so lets all be careful and try not to put anyone in the hospital. Sorry for the long post but I want everyone to be aware that anything can happen in a split second.

Oh and as for the truck, one of the tow hooks got bent and the bumped has some blue paint on it. The Caprice was totaled.
