Well I can tell you that when the truck was new (to me) it seemed that my average mpg was 18-20. this problem has gotten progressively worse over the last year. thats how I ended up replacing u-joints. I use Rotella 15-40, new filter every time I change oil. Is this bad oil for the PSD? what does ford reccomend? Yes I am using a K&N intake w/ filter. I am not very fond of it because it requires so much cleaning. what is the recommendation for air filtration? I might add that the truck performance is outstanding currently ...I just get crap for mileage. I dont even get smoke when I load it up @ 20 lbs of boost. would I feel a tranny slip? I would think so. The u-joints need to be changed again maybe there is some drag there. Would you say that consistent fuel mileage is even possible?
