"the Big Girl" LITERALLY killed one!
Yesterday coming home from a Customer Site Visit. I was on my way home from Port Arthur, and the guy in front of me stopped quickly. It was raining, and bumper to bumper moving at about 50mph. I had "the Big Girl" in 4x4 so I was comfortable with the conditions. I stopped in time, to look up and see a small set of headlights disappear behind me. I pulled ahead a little to see the remnants of the focus. One light was out, the hood creased, grill punched in, and smoke coming out of the breached raditor.
I had two scratches on the hitch part of the receiver. The collision was so light from my side that the seatbelt didn't even engage.
The poor guy had to push his car across two lanes into the grass on the safe side of the highway. I really felt bad, but there is a price to pay for driving an econo box.
