Discussing an 02, 4wd
I feel a clunk under my feet, whether i am driving or jusst a passenger, approx where crossmember is.
I am going to double check the sway bar links again,(replaced with poly?
How do you know if a front u joint is bad?
If the 4wd is not being used, can a front u joint still make a noise? I would think no, cause its not turning? if i am wrong please correct me on this?
I have checked everything. IF a ball joint was bad, I would think the clunk would be more consistant? Almost seems like it will clunk if its been driven for a while like getting hotter or something?
What are the possibilitiesit could be?
can a u joint make noise if the 4wd is not engaged?? I DONT think they spin??
I dont think a rear u joint would cause this feeling. IT sounds to be up front?
