No Highbeams!
I have been trying to fix this problem for a week now. On our '99 450, the high beams seldom work. I took the instrument panel out and checked the higbeam indicator, and checked the sealed beams in front. All good! with the instrument cover off and the switch hanging out the HB's worked, Put it back together and nothing. I replaced the light switch, still nothing. So, I went to the handy dandy haynes manual and it only shows warning and exterrior lamp diagrams. Only headlight diagrams are for 2000 and up. The only thing shown betwee the lamps and headlight switch was the MF switch, so I replaced that too. Still nothing. Lots of money spent and no HB's!
Is there a relay or something else not on my schematic?
