Ok so i am having a wacky issue with my truck and the interior lights and door ajar sensor. I am suppossed to be going to san diego with the girl tomorrow but this is going to kill my battery if i dont get it figured out. I have narrowed it down the door that is giving me the problems. It is the rear pass side door.
What it is doing is:
I can turn the truck off and when i go to lock it all of the doors lock but it honks twice telling me that a door is open and all my interior lights stay on.(I have owned the truck for a while now i know that its 1 honk all doors locked and 2 means something is left open). The weird part is I can open the passenger door and hit the lock, it locks all the doors and it honks once telling me the doors are all locked and the interior lights all turn off.
I had the normal symptoms of the crappy door sensors where I will be driving and all of the sudden my door ajar light will come on. This will then turn on all my interior lights and rear bed light. I have gotten out multiple times and checked THE DOOR IS CLOSED. so i got home and wante dto try and figure out what is wrong. I searched online about spraying wd-40 in there. i tried that. I am out of ideas. Anyone got any help? I pulled the door panel to see if anything got disconnected in there but i have no idea where the sensor is. ANY HELP GUYS? thanks alot
