check your intake manifold valley, if you have a leak up top, like from the turbo, or hp oil lines, the oil puddles in the bottom of the intake valley, then makes its way to the drain hole in the left rear of the intake and runs down the bellhousing, I would have sworn it was my rear main seal leaking, but it was the turbo pedistool o- rings, this is on a 2000 7.3
