put the ground on the battery terminal... but sometimes that doesnt do good either.. it has to be a clean contact....

mine woudlnt light up right on my old batteries.. .lucky for me i needed new ones anyways and i havnt had a problem with the new ones....

if not make sure its grounded very well....

if they flicker on and off means the ground or the power is not set up properly....
