Let me also say that if you are just filling up until the pumps shut off, this is probably the source of your innacuracy! Flow rate, air temp, and many other variables can affect when it actually shuts off. We always tell folks to fill it to the brim, to the point where you can actually see the fuel in the filler neck and it doesn't go down. This takes a few minutes at the pump, but it is the ONLY correct way to figure milage. Just filling up til the pump shuts off can easily be off by a couple gallons.

I could see different pumps being off some, but a couple gallons? I dont see that happening but thats just me.
