Can some one tell me if the cps units are being recalled from last year's batch too?

Since you are new to the ORG. I won't say "Where have you been!!!" LOL, but welcome and yes there is a CPS recall. Ford has been ripping us off for years on these CPS's selling them for $160+ , so now they have the "new wheel" and set up this recall to make everything okay with the 7.3 owners!! The new CPS's are obviously made from another supplier for them to be selling for 1/8th cost, and I believe the quality is much lower as well, as CPS's failures seem to be on the rise with the new ones. Many are still selling the old ones on Ebay for $50 and they are worth it to me. I have one of each in my glove box and I recommend everyone having a spare with them, and if you are using the new and improved version I would have two!!! If your dealer is cool you can bring the truck in, they will run the VIN and if it hasn't been issued already, they will just hand you a new CPS. Why change a sensor that is working? I would like to have some of the older ones all these Ford places are throwing in the trash!! I 'd take them over the new crappy ones they are selling now!! Just my opinion. BTW I have personal knowledge of 3 of the new CPS's bad out of the package!!
