EGT's EXtremely High

I have a Ford F-250 superduty 7.3L powerstroke with 4" exhaust. I have a EGT gage that measures temp at the outlet side of the turbo. I recently have noticed loss of power, no black smoke and cruising (65 mph-no load)temps at 900 degrees. On an uphill incline I see temps at 1000-1050. I read that if you are measuring temp at the outlet side of the turbo you need to add 200 degrees. I'm very worried that I am going to destroy my truck. Help.
