(I am a 7.3 guy, but I am so sick of hearing that the 6.0s are junk and blow up all the time, its not true, they have issues like many other engines, but are simply fixed.
EPA standards is why the re-vamped to the 6.0 I dont think they'd still be using the 7.3 today.
