Mine does this. I'm a 6.0 guy but mine has done this since new. Last tranny slipped, 2-3 shift problem, peg rpm's between 2-3 shift and break tires loose with a slam into 3rd, and it was starting in 3rd from a stop. Turns out 3rd gear clutch packs were toasted and some other things were busted. Truck was stock minus exhaust. Right now I'm having the 2-3 problems pretty much every other shift with a new unit.
