Help a girl out here...Instrument Cluster...

Lately I have been having issues with the Ex. Still love it but am getting tired of the battery light flickering off and on. It throws no codes and the Ford house says that the cluster is bad. The Ex has been through all sorts of diagnostics and everything comes back fine time and time again.

Sooooo...here I go looking for a replacement cluster. I am having a hell of a time finding a new one. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'd rather just do the installation myself and not pay Ford house prices. I found the white face that I will be adding to the new cluster already

Second, I did find one which was salvaged from a wrecked Ex at a decent price. They state that the Ex was wrecked it had 79,000 miles on it. Now, does the milage that is on the cluster transfer over once it is replaced? How does it work with a new one? Does the internal computer hold the milage? I'm completely lost when it comes to this!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
