Posting this for Shan tonight.
"This past Friday, actor, director, producer, philanthropist and salad dressing maker Paul Newman (“Hello, Newman…”) died after a battle with cancer. On the other hand, being that he died at the age of 83, a full 10 years over the average male life expectancy, it could be argued that he died after a rather successful battle with life. However you choose to look at it, Paul Newman is no longer with us. The thing about Paul is, he will truly be missed… if not by the general public, then by every actor, director, key grip and best boy in Hollywood who’s spent the last 3 days showering him with posthumous accolades. To be fair, Newman has always been considered a “class act”. On the other end of the spectrum we have John McCain and Barrack Obama. Not to say that they are sleazy or untrustworthy, but let’s face it, when it comes to Presidential elections, you only get two legitimate options, and more often than not, people say they’ll pick the “lesser of two evils”, or the person who we believe is LESS likely to be completely full of sh*t. Politicians, it seems, don’t ignite our confidence. Well, from Paul Newman to presidential hopefuls and everyone in between, we wanna know: WHO, IN YOUR OPINION, EXEMPLIFIES ‘CLASS’ AND WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE FARTHEST FROM IT?"
I think my Dad totally exemplifies class and the azzhats that slammed into our trash cans last trash day are the farthest from it.
