I'm just here in Louisiana visiting for 3 more years,...so I have to follow their rules.

Its technically legal here too, but those who open carry typically get arrested for breach of peace. The charge gets dropped, but they lose their permit to carry. They can appeal, but the backlog is currently about 8 years.
