Just wanted to thank everyone on this site for all the information I have read about. Recently my dad's 2000 powerstroke started running terrible. We took it to our local Ford stealership and they informed us that the motor was dusted, and $8,500 for a new one please. We thought no way, the filter is always replaced whenever it even begins to start looking dirty. Under further inspection, we couldn't even see where they had undone the intake to look at the impeller blades.
After reading on your website that it could possibly be the wiring harness under the valve cover coming undone we decided to tear into it ourselves. Sure enough, just as you guys had explained, the wiring harness was coming undone. Now with a new wiring harness and 105,000 miles on the clock, it runs as good as it was when it was new! Just wanted to shout out a huge THANK YOU!
