HEY THERE LITTLE RED, MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE RANGER down under..

On the Driveshaft business, I have built a number of big custom trucks and the one piece driveshaft is fraught with problems if it is TOO LONG... For instance on my CC Dually 176" Wheelbase, it would be TOO LONG.. We call them TailShafts down here, and if it runs too long under load you can get what we call "TailShaft Whip" with disastrous results!!!!

That is why the carrier bearing and two piece shaft to anchor it mid span. You could only get away with it in a single cab or short bed, but the DriveShaft people, the ones that make them and spin balance them for you should be able to tell you the maximum length... Can't happen on my Crew Cab... NO Way...
