Ok Help me out guys,
My fuel gauge has been stuck at full for a long time now(way longer than I am going to admit to). With all my back problems lately, I haven't been able to drop my tank yet. I'm getting ready to do it within a couple weeks now though.
The gauge has been stuck at full forever, but now it goes back and forth. I will be driving and it will drop to empty and the light and the tone come on(freaks my wife out
). Then later it will go all the way up to full again. I checked the plug on top of the unit, and it seems to be making a good connection, so I guess it's a problem in the tank.
It also throws a P0460 code, which is the fuel level sensor.
I have seen that whole unit that comes out of there....but what needs to be replaced? Fuel sensor? Fuel sender? Is there such a thing as both of those, and what's the difference? Has anyone had this problem, and know the exact fix and what to buy? Thanks guys...
While i'm in there, I will probably be doing the pre-pump filter, and the harpoon mod.
