Interesting read and I believe it to be true.

I'd also like to everyone to reckon this epiphany I've had...

The next time you ask yourself how come all you hear in the news is about rapes, murders, abductions and other outrageous crimes...It's BECAUSE of the news and local, regional, even global coverage we have access to these days.

I'm sure most of that trash went on, say, in the 1920's and 1930's BUT news did not travel as quickly then. It was mostly done by word of mouth, by the old men whittling wood on a park bench. There were no phones and televisions readily accessible, if even available, back then.

Of course we could argue that concentration of people was nowhere near what it is now, but I think the availability and coverage of news now is the reason why we all think this world is turning upside down.
