I don't run 100% because I can't get enough WVO to use in 2 vehicles. I am happy running what i have for now. I have a couple of years before I can retire and will probably expand my amount.
I used Kitchen Biodiesel and B100Supply.com B100 Supply - Biodiesel Homebrewing Equipment to learn how to do this. Go to yahoo and search for "kitchen biodiesel calculator" add this to your favorites because you will use it. Up in the left corner is the wash don't wash amount that kinda explains why I don't wash it. I make it from HOT oil right out of the fryer. I have 2 stores I get it from. They dump into my 5gal buckets and I take it home. Also, look up "Make your own biodiesel: Journey to forever", they have a great site to figure out the lower amount of lye to use to counter the FFA's you'll have in the WVO you get. Don't be scared to try making this stuff, it does work and you don't have to be a chemical engineer to do this. I sure am not!!
Start out with new oil and make the first and second batch out of new stuff before you try to use WVO. One step at a time. The titration prosses is the hardest part of the whole thing, and it's not hard. Although I am sure no expert on this, It works for me. I make about 6-10 gal per week enough to make me happy. Start out small before you decide to spend alot of bucks to make more. You are sure free to ask me more questions and let me know your prosses.
