Well unless someone swapped in that 7.3, that year should have a 6.9 in it.

And top end like powerwise, or like actual topend (like what someone would refer to on a dirtbike or something)?

Mileage is going to depend on what things are done to the truck, ie, exhaust some sort of intake. Not to familiar at all with an 80's model F-250.

All stock, id say 10-12

ya sorry about that figured out it was a 6.9 couple days after i posted. Someone told me it has no top end i think he meant like it loses all power at the top end i think is what he meant

fuel milege will have a couple variables like what condition the engine is in. Also what trans and gears does it have. I had a 1983 6.9IDI with a manusl 4speed and 4.10 gears and I never got over 8mpg but the engine was worn out. I also have a 1994 with a 7.3IDI which is the exact same as the 6.9 just bored out more, it has a 5speed over drive with 3.55 gears and the engine has 120,000 very hard miles on it and even with the injection pump turned up I still get a consitent 17mpg.

Yeah mine has a T-19 4 speed tranny (no overdrive) and 3.54 gears. The worst I've gotten was was 14mpg towing a boat over mountain passes, and the best was 19.7mpg. I usually get around 16mpg

that's goods news for me, I'm thinking of buying a rig like that...125,000 miles, most of which were local pulling heavy equipment (current owner is a well-digger)
